Education Minister Ong Ye Kung was at a Talking Point forum addressing questions on changes in the education system. When shown a copy of an application form for the Public Service, he said he agrees the government should take the lead to reduce overemphasis on academic grades by not always requiring job applicants to list their subjects and grades in school. Talking Point’s Special Forum with Education Minister Ong Ye Kung will air on Aug 29 (Thursday) 9.30pm on Channel 5.
